4 topics are visited repeatedly over the 32 weeks. Along with vocabulary review, this helps keep content fresh. Topics include content from 1st and 2nd grade Science TEKS.

The early weeks are focused on reviewing skills and content. Because students’ background knowledge varies, I included information, defined vocabulary, and examples. Students use that information to help them answer a question.

As the weeks go on, less background information is provided, and the rigor of the questions increases to align with expectations in later grades.
